HYPNOSIS FAQs
Q.
What is hypnosis and how does it work?
A.
Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness that is achieved by a combination of deep relaxation and neuro-linguistic suggestions. The hypnotic state is somewhat similar to daydreaming, but with more relaxing trance-like sensations.
Reaching this altered state of consciousness enables our subconscious mind to become more susceptible to suggestions (affirmations), which in turn, allows our feelings and behaviour to be directly influenced for the better.
Q.
What do the recordings consist of?
A.
Each hypnosis recording starts with a visualisation talk-down. During the talk-down you will be asked to focus your attention on your breathing, while following a series of suggestions designed to induce a hypnotic state of consciousness. Once you have reached the hypnotic state, I will repeat a series of affirmations specifically designed to instil positive emotions and deepen your levels of relaxation.
I will then repeat a series of affirmations designed to positively influence your subconscious mind regarding a particular aspect of your life in order to change your feelings and behaviour, and achieve your desired goals.
The affirmations will of course vary depending on which session you’re listening to. For example, if it’s regarding weight management you may hear affirmations such as “You have the strength to achieve your goals; You resist all temptations; You eat healthy food; You are a highly motivated person; You only eat when necessary”.
Q.
How long until I get results?
A.
It varies. Some people will see benefits after just one session, whereas others may need to listen several times.
Q.
Do I need headphones to listen to this recording?
A.
No, you do not need headphones. The hypnosis recordings can be listened to both with or without headphones
Q.
Can I listen while driving or when I’m at work?
A.
No. You should only listen while laying or sitting down. You are likely to experience temporary drowsiness.
Q.
Do I need to watch the screen?
A.
No, you don’t need to watch the screen. The messages are only within the audio recording, so you just need to listen.
Q.
Is hypnosis safe?
A.
Yes hypnosis is completely safe and natural. However, if you suffer from epilepsy you should ask your doctor first before listening, to make sure hypnosis is suitable for you. It is also important to only listen to the recordings in a safe environment where you are able to fully relax and close your eyes. Please do not drive or operate any machinery whilst listening.
SUBLIMINAL FAQs
Q.
Do I need headphones to listen to this recording?
A.
No, you do not need headphones. The messages have been embedded in a variety of ways, ensuring they can be absorbed with or without headphones.
Q.
Can I listen while driving or when I’m at work?
A.
No. You should refrain from doing anything that requires concentration such as the operation of machinery or driving. This is for your own safety as some people may experience temporary drowsiness. I recommend that you listen while sleeping, relaxing, meditating, or enjoying activities such as drawing or painting.
Q.
Do I need to watch the screen?
A.
No, you don’t need to watch the screen. The messages are only embedded in the audio recording, so you just need to listen.
Q.
Why can't I hear any talking?
A.
This is a subliminal recording, which means the affirmation messages are hidden within the audio.
Q.
How do subliminal messages work?
A.
Compared to regular audio, the subliminal affirmation messages are recorded at many different frequencies and volumes, therefore you will be unable to hear the messages consciously. Because you are unable to hear the messages consciously, they bypass the part of your mind that analyses information, thus enabling the messages to go directly to your subconscious mind, allowing them to be absorbed as a factual new reality.
Q.
Can I sleep while listening?
A.
Yes, you can listen to this recording whilst asleep or awake; both methods are effective.
Q.
How long until I get results?

It varies. Some people will only have to listen for a matter of minutes to notice an improvement, whilst others will need to listen for several hours over the course of a few days.
Q.
At what volume should I play the recording?
A.
At whatever volume you find most comfortable.

Q.
What are the most common misconceptions about hypnotherapy?
A.
For many people, hypnosis is regarded as a form of entertainment. We’ve all seen those TV shows where a hypnotist invites people from the audience on to the stage and ‘hypnotises’ them into barking like a dog or clucking like a chicken. Actually, people are likely to respond in that way because of the expectations of the audience, and the social pressure to conform, not because they’ve been hypnotised! It’s important to realise that a hypnotherapist isn’t able to control someone’s mind or make them do something against their wishes. It simply isn’t possible.
Q.
Can anybody be hypnotised?
A.
Not if they don’t want to be. Some people may laugh at the idea, others may be restless or afraid of losing control. Success is more likely if the individual has a positive attitude to hypnotherapy and an open mind.
Q.
What can hypnotherapy be used to treat, and what is the success rate?
A.
Hypnotherapy helps to change habits and behaviours, so it can be used to treat a wide range of issues. In my experience, it works very well in the treatment of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, addictions, pain relief and phobias. Some studies claim a 90% success rate, but for many people there are pre-existing social and environmental factors that can positively or negatively affect outcomes, making success a difficult thing to measure. Personally, I don’t have the means to track those who listen to my recordings, so it’s hard for me to quantify success. But judging by the many messages I receive, I know it works for a lot of people.
